M.Sc., Tampere university of technology 2007. Training programme: electronic engineering, major subject: telecommunication networks and protocols. Minor subjects: signal processing and multimedia. Thesis work title: “Software testing of mobile phone software update” (2007), Grade average 3.01 (scale: from 1 to 5).
Matriculation examination 2000, Nurmo special upper secondary school in mathematics and natural sciences. Grade average: eximia.

Computers
Operating systems: I have used and maintained the Linux
operating system for over nine years now and I have good skills with it. I can also
use and maintain Microsoft® Windows® operating systems (2000/XP)
very well. I have also used many different UNIX-variants like Digital UNIX,
Solaris and FreeBSD. Some pieces of software I am familiar with:
Mircosoft office, openoffice.org, Matlab, Maple, Apache, OpenSSH, Postfix. Also Symbian-based mobile phone operating systems are familiar to me.
Telecommunications: Planning, using and maintaining wired and wireless networks is familiar to me.
Data protection and other network security issues are also my areas of knowledge. I also know
the most common communication protocols and how they work. I know the technics used in wireless
and mobile networks (GSM/3G/WLAN) and how they work.
Hardware: I have used many kinds of PC-hardware components for years and I
know how they work. I know the task of each component and detecting a fault and
fixing it is familiar to me.
Programming: Good skills in (X)HTML+CSS and XML, basics in C++, PHP, Java, Python, Ruby and UNIX shell scripts.
Software testing: I have worked as a software test engineer for five years now and have good skills on planning and running test cases. I know how to find the failures in software.
Language skills
Finnish (mother tongue), English (excellent), Swedish (good)
